Hawaiian Bacon Pineapple chicken kebabs covered in a tasty Hawaiian sauce! Crispy bacon and spicy, grilled chicken served with juicy pineapple pieces, peppers (capsicums), red onion, and the greatest garlicky barbecue sauce! Hawaiian Bacon Pineapple Chicken Kebabs are really addicting! The ideal meat on a skewer, with a salty, sweet taste that packs a punch.
Chicken kebabs, kebobs, or skewers
Whatever you name them, there's little doubt that they're easy and fast to create! Throwing them on the grill guarantees that the chicken is perfectly browned on the exterior while remaining juicy on the inside. Typically, Hawaiian chicken asks for tomato sauce. For an even better flavor, substitute the tomato sauce in these chicken kebabs with your favorite barbecue sauce.
Bamboo or metal skewers
You may use any one in this recipe. To avoid wood burning on the barbecue, soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes before use. You may even soak them overnight for improved results, since well-soaked skewers will stay longer on the grill before burning.
Metal skewers, on the other hand, need no prior preparation. We usually grease them with a little application of oil.
How to Make Chicken Kebabs
These skewers are extremely simple to make!Use the meatiest cut of bacon. We use short cut bacon, but you may use whatever you have on hand. Slice bacon about 2 1/2 inches long and 1 inch broad, or just enough to cover each piece of chicken on the skewers. If this sort of bacon is unavailable, you may substitute the bacon you regularly use for frying and grilling.
pineapple
For this dish, we prefer fresh pineapple, although canned pineapple may be used if fresh is not available. Slice any remaining pineapple into discs and serve with the kebabs on the side!
